Dr. Taylor McInnes, R. Psych.
Dr. McInnes is a registered psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
Dr. McInnes offers psychodynamic psychotherapy to individual adults of all ages. She works with clients from a diverse range of backgrounds and who are struggling with a variety of mental health concerns including depression, anxiety, interpersonal and relationship difficulties, adjustment issues (grief, loss, life transitions, stressful life events), and concerns around personality functioning. Her masters and doctoral research projects explored the relationship between meaning, fulfillment, and career development. In line with this research, Dr. McInnes has additional expertise in working with clients struggling with meaning, self-actualization, career, and other fulfillment issues.
Dr. McInnes offers cognitive, psychoeducational, and psychological assessment services at CCPS.
Dr. McInnes completed her PhD in Clinical and Counselling Psychology at the University of Toronto. She also holds a MA in Counselling Psychology from the University of Toronto, and a BA (Hons) in Psychology from McGill University. Dr. McInnes has provided clinical services in a variety of settings including university psychology clinics, partial-hospitalization programs (day hospital), hospital-based outpatient clinics, and in private practice. Most recently, Dr. McInnes completed her residency training in the Calgary Clinical Psychology Residency Program with Alberta Health Services. This training included intensive rotations with the Mood Disorders Clinic and the Anxiety Disorders Clinic at Foothills Medical Centre and with the Regional Psychological Assessment Service at the Sheldon M. Chumir Health Centre.
