Dr. Melissa Hendry, R. Psych.
Dr. Hendry primarily offers individual cognitive-behavioural therapy for adults with concerns related to anxiety, mood, stress, social skills, sleep, anger, and substance use.
Dr. Hendry also has extensive experience completing psychodiagnostic, cognitive, and psychoeducational assessments. Dr. Hendry has completed the Capacity Assessor training through the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee and performs assessments for guardianship, trusteeship, and co-decision making. In addition, Dr. Hendry has extensive experience completing forensic risk assessments for the Court.
Dr. Hendry is fluent in both English and French and can offer services in both languages.
Dr. Hendry completed her PhD in Clinical Psychology at Simon Fraser University in 2014, following a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology degree in 2009 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Concordia University in Montreal in 2007. She moved to Alberta in 2013 for her pre-doctoral residency with Alberta Health Services and continued her employment with Alberta Health Services upon completion of her residency. Dr. Hendry has worked in a variety of mental health settings including concussion and head injury rehabilitation, outpatient and inpatient mental health, substance use treatment, and she has also worked with clients who have come into contact with the legal system.
