Dr. Correne DeCarlo, R. Psych.
Dr. DeCarlo is a registered clinical psychologist with the College of Alberta Psychologists.
Dr. DeCarlo uses cognitive behavioral, cognitive processing, schema, and mindfulness-based therapeutic approaches to treat a wide variety of mental health challenges, such as:
• Anxiety disorders (e.g., social anxiety, generalized anxiety, post-traumatic stress, and panic disorder)
• Depressive disorders (e.g., major depression, dysthymia, adjustment)
• Interpersonal difficulties (e.g., assertiveness, stress management)
• Personality disorders and features (e.g., perfectionism)
Neuropsychological-informed services are incorporated based on client needs in order to facilitate psychological change in those with cognitive deficits. Session length and frequency are flexible and vary with client needs.
Dr. DeCarlo has a PhD in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Clinical Neuropsychology from the University of Victoria (2016). She attended highly recognized universities (Queen's University, University of Victoria) and trained in nationally accredited graduate-level training programs. She has assessed and treated adolescent, adult, and older adult patients in private, community, rehabilitation and hospital settings in British Columbia and Alberta.
